Missing These Missionaries Already

Elder Crandall and I are with Elder Nimer our wonderful Zone Leader who is going home at the end of the month along with Sister Zechman who is also going home and Sister Nemec. The Sisters made a tombstone cake for Elder Nimer (they all say they are dying when they go home) and he is looking very sad!! We are very SAD to lose both of these wonderful missionaries!!!

Another Great Elder Going Home

We did a flat inspection in Rhiwbina where three elders serve because the fourth elder had to go home due to illness. These elders are Elder Burri from Switzerland (who is going home), Elder McNichol from Australia, and Elder Smith from near London. All three of these elders are amazing!!! We enjoyed
our meal with them so very much and felt of their strong testimonies. Elder Burri has been an awesome District Leader and super missionary and will be very much missed by us all. It is hard to say goodbye to such a good friend.

On our way to Aberystwyth

Here we are along the coast of the Irish Sea on our way to Aberystwth to do a flat inspection. The Elders in the picture are Elder Stokes from Austin, Texas and Elder Amuah from England. His father came from Ghana. They are great missionaries. They have really made things happen in this area. We enjoy both of these great elders. The coastal drive is just breathtaking and in certain areas you feel like you are right next to the ocean.

Goodby to a Dear Sister in the Gospel

Here are Sister Zechman from Austria and Sister Nemec from Croatia after their flat inspection( which was excellent) and after a delightful lunch in the Irish Restaurant they are standing in front of. Sister Zeckman is going home at the end of March and she will be soooooooooooo missed!!!! She is an amazing missionary and a dear friend. Hope we don't lose Sister Nemec at transfers next week. We just love her too!!!She came out with us and there is a real bond with those you come out with. Sister Zechman asked me to write my testimony in her Missionary Journal and I felt that was a real honor. Goodbye dear friend and come see us in America!!

A Young Missionary in the Hospital

Our Mission President, President Ogden asked us to visit a missionary in our mission who had been admitted to the hospital for a lump that had risen on his chest. The missionary is Elder Wangeguard from North Ogden. We met him at the MTC in the Referral Center where he had been asked to serve because he had been sent home from our mission in England with seizures. He was stabilized and then sent back out to our mission where we met him again during our flat inspections. He is well now and is back serving. He is a wonderful missionary and we have enjoyed our visits with him. I think he got well because Heavenly Father sent the seagull to look after him and also look at all that Nutritious food he received from everyone who loved him here in Wales.

Elders going home soon

Elder Rudd is a great District Leader in the Heads of the Valley District and because he leaves us at the end of the month we ordered a special dessert for him when we went out to eat after their flat inspections. He is from Sandy, Utah and will greatly be missed. The next picture is of Elder Koyle of Boise, Idaho another awesome, dedicated elder who will be leaving at the end of the month. He also chose a dessert for a goodbye treat from Elder Crandall and I. We will miss him very much.

The other elders are Elder Wilkins from Lehi, Utah and Elder Wright from Boise, Idaho both soon to go home also. What will we ever do without these strong elders???? The other two elders are Elder
Worthington from Orem, Utah and Elder Nylund from Sweden. Thank heavens for these two great elders and that we have them for a while. These flat inspections are a pleasure because we get to associate with Heavenly Father's BEST young men. For mothers reading this blog , they also keep their flats very clean!!!

More fun flat inspections

Today we did flat inspections in the Cardiff area and here are pictures of some of the awesome elders serving in this area. The top two elders are Elder Pedersen from St. George, Utah and his companion is Elder Leeper from England. They are very dedicated elders. The next two elders are the Zone Leaders and they are Elder Richter from Germany and Elder Newbury from Springville, Utah. They are two impressive leaders! The last two are Elders who have been called on a Chinese speaking mission here in the England Birmingham Mission. The first elder is Elder Wang from China. He has been out 7 months and didn't speak English before he came out and speaks very well now. He was baptized a year ago in Hong Kong and is an example of the weekend teaching process I have mentioned in my emails. His companion is Elder Luu and is from Washington state. He is part Chinese but never spoke Chinese before his mission. He came out with us. We had lunch with these last two elders and I will share in my email miracles they spoke of. We loved them and they are simply remarkable!!!! Everytime I am with these young servants of the Lord I am strengthened!!!!

Historical Churches

Every Village has their own church or many churches. This one was in Tenby. I am going to try and take more pictures of these awesome old historically churches that they still meet in. They are mostly Catholic or Church of England or Church of Wales.

More Castles

The first castle was in Tenby and encompassed several streets. Next time we go there we will get out and walk around and inside it. The second castle was on our way to Pendine and was right on the ocean.
